Position of the Course

The aim of this course is to make the student familiar with current thinking in blood and transplantation centers. The student will gain the background knowledge required to understand the issues in current transfusion medicine and transplantation medicine. During the course the relevant basic knowledge of immunology, microbiology and hematology/oncology is recapitulated and then goes on to apply this knowledge to transfusion and cell therapy and biopharmacotherapie
