Position of the Course

Starting from the knowledge acquired during previous microbiology lectures, viral life cycles are molecularly elaborated, including molecular interactions between host and virus

Contents

Starting Competences

Having successfully completed the courses Microbiology, Molecular biology I, Molecular biology II and Human pathogenesis from the bachelor program biomedical sciences, or having acquired the relevant ending objectives by other means.

Final Competences

  • To possess extensive knowledge in molecular virology.
  • To have knowledge of some actual research topics in virology.
  • To be able to critically evaluate scientific publications in the field.
  • To be able to draft a research project in the field and to defend this in public.
